Duality of Type
Illustrator, Experimental composition
2025
This project was developed for my Typography class. The goal was to create two books and experiment with only two typefaces, one serif and one sans-serif, exploring margins, composition, and white space. For the cover, we had to create a typographic composition using the entire alphabet, limited to one color and letters only.
I wanted the two books to feel connected, reflecting the duality between the two fonts: one modern, the other classic. Distinct, yet almost touching.
Symbolizing the evolution of typography, the serif representing history and tradition, and the sans-serif embodying modernity and the present.
Covers designed as a pair like two eras reaching toward each other.
